Deportation in Turkey: The Basics
A deportation (removal) decision is an administrative order issued by the migration authorities requiring a foreign national to leave Turkey. The grounds are set out in the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (Law No. 6458) and may include, among others, irregular stay, certain criminal matters or public-order concerns.
The Appeal: A Strict Deadline
A deportation decision can be challenged before the Administrative Court. The deadline is short, and timing is everything:
The removal decision is notified to the foreign national or their representative.
An application is filed with the Administrative Court, generally within 7 days. Filing in time suspends the removal.
The court reviews the case and issues a decision, which is as a rule final for this stage.
Entry Bans (Tahdit Codes)
Separately from removal, an entry ban may prevent a foreign national from re-entering Turkey for a defined period. These restrictions are recorded under specific codes. Depending on the code and the underlying reason, an entry ban may be reviewed, challenged or, in some cases, lifted under certain conditions.

It depends on the type and duration of the ban. Some bans can be reviewed or lifted, and in certain cases a special permission may be sought. Each situation requires individual legal assessment.
